Moab 2024: Hell's Revenge and Fins 'N Things Trail Report

The Setup

Four rigs, three days, Moab in peak spring. Our convoy included a built JL, a stock-ish Tacoma, a TRX, and my heavily modded 4Runner. We ran Hell's Revenge on day one and Fins 'N Things on day two.

Hell's Revenge

Hell's Revenge lived up to its name. The slickrock is deceptively steep and the off-camber sections will test your spotter skills. The Tacoma got high-centered once on the Mickey Thompson section — a set of MAXTRAX boards and 30 seconds of teamwork sorted it out.

Gear That Earned Its Keep

  • **Warn VR EVO 10-S**: Used it twice. Both times it was effortless.
  • **ARB Snatch Strap**: Pulled the TRX off a ledge it slid into. Zero drama.
  • **Factor 55 Prolink**: The aluminum hook felt significantly safer than the stock hooks when working near the winch line.

  • Final Notes

If you haven't run Moab in the spring, you're missing the best window. Crowds are manageable, temps are perfect, and the sandstone is grippy. See you out there.
